York Street and Wellington Street Infrastructure Renewal Project

About this project

The City is planning a construction project to replace aging infrastructure that has met its expected lifecycle, and to remove existing combined sewers. Construction is expected to start in April 2024 and is anticipated to last until November 2025 with some minor clean-up work in Spring 2026. The benefits of this project include:

• New watermain and sanitary sewers
• New storm sewer installation
• Utility upgrades
• New sidewalks and the rehabilitation of the elevated sidewalks under the railway overpass
• Streetscape improvements
• New asphalt road surface

Pre-construction meeting

The City of London will be hosting a pre-construction webinar on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, via Zoom, to outline how we will be managing the project, including impacts to property owners, businesses and residents. A question and answer session will occur after the presentation. The webinar will be recorded and available on this web page.
